Clane General Hospital was founded in 1985.  Infertility and its associated fertility treatments have been a part of the services provided by this hospital since its inception.  
Originally, the programme in relation to fertility issues was started as a joint venture between Clane Hospital and Bourn Hall Clinic in Cambridge so that patients who have had difficulty conceiving a pregnancy can benefit from the professional expertise and experience of one of the worlds most renowned clinics in this field. IVF and ICSI are some of the most popular treatments provided at the fertility clinic.

CHKS Quality Improvement Award- Clane General Hospital & Fertility Clinic receive a HIGHLY COMMENDED CITATION LINK HERE
May 1st 2012- Clane General Hospital & Fertility Clinic was one of only six international hospitals to have been selected into the final shortlist for the CHKS QI Awards which were announced in London on 1st May 2012 where we received a HIGHLY COMMENDED citation for significant improvements to patient care and the patient experience, as well as staff safety, welfare and morale. The award is based on the evaluation of all healthcare organisations accredited by CHKS in 2011.

PLEASE NOTE - we now offer Sperm Fragmentation DNA testing.

Better understanding of a man’s sperm DNA quality can help achieve a successful pregnancy. When the sperm DNA is poorly packed, the chances of a natural pregnancy are considerably reduced and these odds are not changed by intrauterine insemination (IUI). However, the odds are considerably improved with in vitro fertilisation and microinjection of selected sperm into the eggs (ICSI). The Biomnis Healthcare Innovation Awards results were announced at a function in the Burlington Hotel on May 6th  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.
